It’s half hour to midnight and that means I am just 30 minutes away from the departure day to the Czech republic. Yay! Can’t wait to see friends, loads of relatives and walk the ground where I grew up. :) Prague sessions are fully booked, I am so looking forward to shooting at such divine locations! Let’s hope the weather cooperates.

Tomorrow also is the last day for your contest photo submissions, don’t forget to participate, people :) The prize is awesome and you know it :)

And of course you all want to know when I am back from my holidays ;) That would be 30.11. and after that there is really just a couple of slots available for Xmas minisessions. If interested in having a last minute family portrait session this year, book quickly! For 350€ you will get:

  1. 10 artistically edited portraits as high resolution digital files on a cd
  2. 1 digital file of a Xmas card (design of your choice)
  3. a beautiful minialbum with all your images

That’s something you don’t want to miss! I am going to check my email during holidays, so book away. Happy start of the Pikku Joulu season to you all.

Off to bed now :)

Meet my recent clients – a gorgeous couple with oh so sweet baby boy who is just about to mark half a year on his life journey. The boy is so sweet that today when his mum asked me to hold him for a sec, I found myself kissing his smooth cheeks and then of course immediately apologizing. Oops, sorry for kissing your baby. Luckily for me the lady was gracious about it, explaning that her little one likes kissing :) It is true though, babies emit cuteness so we would emit love.

Long had we that session scheduled, so I knew something was going to happen. And surely, after getting the one sunny Saturday in three weeks and after photographing this really nice couple with their beautiful little boy, my camera and my portable hard-drive both decided to jump out of the bag just after getting home and booooom, in pieces they were. So we had to reshoot all the lost shots. And we were lucky the second time too. This time moving from Haukilahti beach to vila Elfvik area, we enjoyed the fresh snow and sunny morning. Just beautiful!

This year just before Xmas, on December the 12th, the photographers will make world to turn in the right direction. Join the Help-Portrait movement with me!

Thanx to a fantastic photography forum that I am a regular visitor of I found out about the Help-Portrait movement. And guessing from “0 results” answer to my search on other photographers in Finland in the Help-portrait community, I might just be the first photographer here interested in taking part in this amazing project. I really hope I won’t be the last one.

Do you know someone in need? Send me an email. Please. I already have many ideas, but concrete suggestion are always welcome! Thank you.

Do you know or are you another photographer interested in taking part in this project? Let’s join forces and create something amazing for someone who would never expect to receive anything. Send me an email, please.

Now this is how an yo-lakki picture is supposed to look. Mother Nature knows that if you like your rose and forced grin stuff, you can get it to your heart’s content elsewhere. But should you want something more contemporary, look no further! :)

Oh and of course you recognize Wia and Lucas, the giggling couple that caught my eye on Aleksanterinkatu during our photoclub’s outing. For obvious reasons (like the fact that they are absolutely fantastic and natural in front of the camera, clearly in love, stylish, defined, fun, sexy and I can go on and on!), I couldn’t have let them escape more photography exercise with Niki. This time we had a liiiiiittle more than half a minute to snap some pics. You like them? I am drooling over this gorgeous couple. Aren’t you?
